For my most loyal commenter, squirrelmama: Here's some squirrel info from a sign in Banff. It might look like a chipmunk or something, but it's a golden-mantled ground squirrel. We captured a pic of one during a hike.

I want one! I want one! OK, I really want TWO!!
The first cutie is a red squirrel...aka a pine squirrel, chickaree, etc., and the second is the golden mantled ground squirrel who does indeed look like a chipmunk.
I clicked on the words that said "listen to his noisy chatter" but all I heard, in this newsroom, was the voice of a Long Island editor. Wrong kind of noisy chatter.
These squirrels are completely fabulous. I'm going to post a link to them on my blog so I can share them.
Do you think Canadian squirrels have the same politeness as Canadian humans?
"Please may I bury your nuts for you so you don't get your paws dirty?"
"Oh no, please let ME."
"It would be my honour." (notice the Canadian spelling, eh?)
It DOES look like a chipmunk.
