A place to live; no job yet, though

We signed a lease on an apartment I mentioned in the previous post. It is absolutely gorgeous.
We have a great view of the mountains and the harbour. We'll be eating breakfast on our balcony often.
The landlord wanted a July 15 move-in date, so we're going to shorten our summer trip to just about three weeks and get back here in early August and start our new lives in Vancouver.
It took a while to sign the lease. Kieran, a friend of a friend of our friend Nora, met us and checked out the place. Then we checked out his beautiful West End apartment west of Denman, close to Stanley Park.
Then I had an interview with The Canadian Press. There will be new position in September but it will be a junior position with hours Wednesday through Sunday. The bureau chief said that someone with my level of experience probably would end up leaving the job in six months or so. But the details of the position are still in the works, so I'm going to keep in the loop for that position.
